"Green" Shipping Industry
In the way of environmental transition of the shipping industry, all vessels shall evaluate their current "Energy Efficiency" (Energy EXisting Index) in order to ship owners and regulatory authorities to assess their actions to minimize their environmental footprint. Also, an annual evaluation of each vessel's energy efficiency is performed by calculating the vessel's emissions, (Carbon Index Indicator).
The whole transition process, of each shipping company and vessel, to a "greener" approach, is described in the Technical documentation of SEEMP III.

ND-Group, aware of the required actions for a sustainable company profile, developed an in-house software solution to perform all necessary calculations and analysis reports for each vessel separately.
Our solution evaluates the vessel's status (type, dwt, tonne/miles, emissions and operational profiles), in order to present to owners or any other involved third parties (Investors, Financial institutions, ESD vendors, etc), the optimum solution for the vessel to achieve the environmental goals, accompanied by a comparison report and a techno-economical analysis.
